CDWA Grand Opens, Virtually
By CDWA | News & Releases | December 1, 2020
December 1, 2020 – TORONTO, ON.
After a long three years of planning and intimate work with the Dog Walking industry and Pet Parents, CDWA is open.
CDWA is the industry’s self-regulation body. We exist to lift and reward best-in-class Walkers by providing standards, services and the ample supports needed to build a quality assured industry that earns public esteem. In doing these, we also advance animal welfare, build tangible successes for companion animals, and better their outcomes.
“Imagine a Canada where we’ve upped the ante so significantly—across the board—that we cut 90% of dog abuse cases or dog surrenders, or 90% of dog bites. This is in sight. We don’t just work collaboratively to build our industry. Our industry benefits everyone else. And we have big plans.” says Renée Beauchamp, Executive Director of the CDWA.
As we are a new organization, many walkers are not yet vetted members. It takes trust, meaningful benefit and benevolence, good governance and time to build an association with CDWA’s scope, and to grow its industry membership. We are working very hard on achieving these milestones.
We have begun vetting and endorsing Walkers so we can present Pet Parents with Best-in-Class Practitioners.
Welcome! Feel free to contact us, any time, and get to know us.
