IF ANIMALS ONLY KNEW, how many scholars, activists, lawyers, Members of Parliament, veterinarians, organizations, researchers and volunteers are active in brightening their futures, they would really jump for joy.
There is an army of people advocating for animal welfare, no matter the species, individual or circumstance: from farms, zoos and aquariums, to lab animals, to companion animals, and everything in between. This beehive of positive change has evolved and is happening now.
Most poignantly—as if to set change up for success—legislation is likewise improving. Recently, Canada passed legal amendments on the federal level that strengthen language and add new definitions and points of law. Municipalities and provinces are on their own timelines, and they have already achieved same, or are catching up. The animal welfare movement certainly has momentum.
Our Causes
We are very committed to animal welfare and there is so much work to do to serve that goal. We are in early research phase for two causes that are very close to heart. We will make announcements and begin fundraising later in 2021 and hopefully get your support to these through. At that point, we hope to begin a community of contributing champions (among champions) who brightens the future of animals.
